Friedsam Town Forest
The 220 acre Friedsam Town Forest was a gift from the Friedsam family to the Town of Chesterfield. The Forest offers three parking areas to which to access the trails. The forest is typical new growth from old farm and pasture with old stone walls, streams, several old growth trees and interesting rock formations.

Sargent Trail is a 45 minute walk through varied terrain between the Upper and Lower Lots on the Twin Brook Road. The trail crosses over the Ravine Bridge, passes by a natural pothole, and two giant trees; an ash and black cherry.
Ancient Oaks Trail is a half hour walk through an old apple orchard and features two 300 year old red oaks. This trail leads to either the Cemetery Loop or the Sargent Trail for a 1 1/2 miles loop back to the Lower Lot.
Cemetery Loop leads to an open view toward the center of Chesterfield and passes through groves of hemlocks and pine.
Audrey's Meander is a short 15 minute loop to the Upper Lot and features the serene beauty of the upper Twin Brook.
